Leica 50mm f2 Summicron (Type II) (Black Paint, 11117)
The mechanisms have been cleaned, lubricated, and adjusted as necessary. The inner elements have been cleaned. It's working well and the optics are clean except for a notable scratch inside that won't affect image quality.
This is an original black paint lens, but it has lived a long and storied life. It has been repainted, repaired, used, worn, and broken before it reached us. The paint is no longer original and has been "enhanced" with white numbers that are not original. The infinity lock is broken and the lens mount has been replaced with one that resembles nickel. The lens shows many signs of poor quality repair inside, which thankfully do not extend to the optics. It's very, very worn but has a unique story that can't be easily traced, even by professional Leica scholars. For better or worse, this lens is one-of-a-kind! At least now it works well and can take great photos!
